Heritage Festival 2003: Roots! Rhythm! Blends!
The nine-day Heritage Festival 2003, organised
by the National Heritage Board, aims to cultivate
an appreciation of heritage through discovering,
understanding and experiencing it in a fun and
interactive way.
This year's theme is "Roots! Rhythm! Blends!",
which embodies the evolution and cross-cultural
sharing of different components of food, music,
dance, customs and traditions through the generations.
Look out for:
-Fringe
activities like heritage trails and
story-telling sessions.
-Exciting
competitions such as a Heritage Food
Hunt and Kampong Games Tournament.
-A Picnic
By The River on 22 March, where the
entire family can enjoy stage performances, visit
a Heritage Flea Market and sample mouth-watering
food from the various ethnic groups.

Concert By The Park at the Merlion
Park on 22 March, where you can be entertained
by local musicians.
