The inaugural SIF Overseas Conference in San Francisco was co-hosted by Singapore American Business Association (SABA), San Francisco and Singapore Club of Northern California (SCNC), and supported by Contact Singapore.
The conference aimed to engage a larger number of overseas Singaporeans on issues of concern to them, as well as update them on recent developments in Singapore.

It also aimed to provide opportunities for networking, and a platform for the international community to understand Singapore better.

The conference included plenary and discussion sessions that involved eminent speakers from Singapore and the United States. Her Excellency Professor Chan Heng Chee, Singapore's Ambassador to the United States, delivered the keynote address.
