Also present at the seminar were Mr Chan Soo Sen, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister and Minister for Health, and Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Communications and Information Technology.

In his keynote address, RADM Teo examined the economic and social impacts of globalisation, as well as some negative reactions from various parts of the world.

Discussions at the 4 plenary sessions covered the following:

3) Dilemma of Self, Family and Society in the New Economic Order
4) Equal Opportunity vs Threat of Global Competition

Student representatives also presentated the findings of pre-Forum surveys on the concerns of youth on the issues of today.
