What took place
The
Central Singapore CDC organised a cross-cultural home
visit for the upper primary school students in support of the Racial
Harmony Day.
In order to promote inter-divisional cross-cultural
contact, the young residents were grouped into groups of five and
each group visited a family of another race staying in another division.
The host families wore their traditional costumes and introduced their
families and cultures to the visiting students. After that, the students
were each presented with a goodie-bag by the families as a gesture of goodwill.
