The
first National Day Parade in the new millennium
saw the scope of NDP expanded beyond the
traditional parade. For the first time, a carnival
at Marina South was organised in conjunction
with the Parade at the Padang. Other highlights
included a Maritime Review and a mobile column
that drove through major housing precincts.
