Tapestry of Love involves the sewing of a quilt by different
groups of people including housewives, retirees, youths and
retrenched workers.
The quilt comprises smaller pieces of
cloth, each with its unique design and character to represent
the different ethnic groups in Singapore. The project is aimed
at driving home the message of S21 where everyone has a part
to play in making a difference.
It also aims to cultivate the
spirit of family bonding and promote racial harmony. The
gigantic quilt will be unveiled by His Excellency President S.
R. Nathan.
