A 2-day playwriting contest with a difference!

The S21 playwriting contest aims to create awareness of the Singapore 21 vision that was launched in 1999. Through this contest, it is hoped that Singaporeans will better understand their role in making Singapore our best home. This contest is open to full-time students of the Institutions of Higher Learning in Singapore. The play is to be written primarily in English and should preferably be 30 to 45 minutes in duration.

The contest will be held from Monday 9 December 2002, 9.00am to Tuesday 10 December 2002, 7.00pm. Throughout the contest, participants will stay in single rooms in the Prince George's Park Student Residences at the National University of Singapore. A facilitator will be present to provide participants with different stimuli related to the S21 ideas, including going through various places on or near campus. $7000 worth of prizes will be awarded to winners of the contest.

Registration fee for each participant is $25 and all completed registration forms should be forwarded through the respective institutions to the S21 Playwriting Contest Secretariat.
